Jokes aside, we knew that to grow KSFBeauty effectively, we couldn't just rest on an essential website and run some ads. As such, following Sun Tzu’s strategies, we came up with a four-pronged approach.
Website Development
To make sure they paid us, we had to build a stellar website. There were the usual norms of responsive design, fluid UI, and a visually appealing landing page to prevent customers from dismissing our diligent work as trash. Additionally, as an E-Commerce marketplace, the checkout process had to be as painless as possible. We did all of that and much more. Our team of designers and developers were able to transform the vision and mission of KSFBeauty into one heck of a website.
Search Engine Marketing
Google SERPs are an absolute battlefield for anyone trying to show up or get leads. What does one do when they have a tight budget but really want to show up on the first page? They come to us because we know how to target the absolute best keywords and set up ads that are as irresistible as ice cream on a blistering hot day (unless you are lactose-intolerant of course). We set up ads that captured the personality of KSFBeauty while also ensuring we hit those sweet, sweet ROIs.
Search Engine Optimization
While paying your way to sales is great, the way to sustain long-term growth is through SEO. Of course, we optimized the website descriptions and metatags to let Google’s creepy crawly bots give us the A-OK. But everyone does that. What everyone doesn't do is perform Megamind levels of research on Korean skincare, beauty and the products that are sold on KSFBeauty. So we synthesized this PhD-Level research into really informed articles, providing value to customers, and showcasing that KSFBeauty knew their sh*t.
Social Media
While we did not employ an army of Instagram models to increase traffic (our budget was too low), our graphic design skills, combined with too much caffeine, led to a complete makeover of KSFBeauty’s Instagram page. Nothing beats the instant gratification of gaining followers and likes, am I right? By monitoring the behaviour of the followers (inspired by everyone’s “good” friend Mark Zuckerberg) and understanding the competition, we proposed strategies that would increase engagement with posts while also growing the fanbase.
